It's almost Showtime: Tickets released for the Lincolnshire Show Online

11 June 2020, Press Releases

With less than two weeks to go until the Lincolnshire Show Online, organisers are getting ready for an action-packed virtual show, featuring local exhibitors, cookery demonstrations, educational and agricultural content, entertainment, virtual networking events as well as live yoga classes for both adults and children.

The 136th Lincolnshire Show, which will take place on 24 June on an online platform, now has more than 40 exhibitors confirmed, from cheese makers to hot tub suppliers, to gin distillers and arts and crafts businesses.

Free online tickets for the Lincolnshire Show Online have now been released, which will give visitors exclusive access to the full line up and timetable of events throughout the day.

The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society made the difficult decision to cancel the traditional show earlier this year due to Covid-19, but will now replicate the typical show format in an online world. Visitors to the website can explore six different zones including Main Ring and Aviation, Education Zone, Lincolnshire Kitchen and Food Court, Trade Exhibitors, Agriculture Zone and Countryside and Heritage Area.

A number of new, local and exciting exhibitors will be featured on the Lincolnshire Show Online website, where visitors will be able to find out more and make online purchases - including Beckfords Caramel & Rum Spirits, The Truckle Cheese Company, Pet Portraits in Pastel, Bottomley Distillers and many more.

ASALI Designs is also one of the exhibitors taking part in the Lincolnshire Show Online. Mindy Arora, founder of ASALI Designs, said: “We are really excited to be involved in the Lincolnshire Show Online. We were really disappointed when we found out that the traditional Lincolnshire Show would be cancelled this year, but it is great that the Showground has taken the decision to move it online, supporting local businesses and offering something for everyone to access within the Lincolnshire community.”

The online show will also feature videos and entertainment from Russian Cossacks, originally due to take centre stage in the Main Ring, performing military and trick riding skills on horses. Videos from the RAF Falcons and BeVox: Virtual Choir will also be shown as part of the Main Ring entertainment, as well as animal videos from the Sheep Show, Dog & Duck Show and Derek Tindall Birds of Prey, which will be shown as part of the Countryside and Heritage Area.

Local baby massage and children’s yoga company, Precious Moments Family Wellbeing, will be live streaming yoga classes, for both adults and children to practice stretching and breathing and to learn about the importance of relaxing and wellbeing from a young age.

Foodies will be treated to live cookery demonstrations with Steven Bennett from the Lincolnshire Chef, Cote Hill Cheese and a tour around the cheese rooms as well as cocktail making with Pin Gin.

Jayne Southall, CEO of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, said: “The Lincolnshire Show has become one of the county’s most well-loved events over the years. With more than 60,000 people attending annually it’s the perfect place to showcase the incredible people, local businesses and products the area has to offer – and we hope that the online show will provide an equally valuable platform.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming all our exhibitors to the Lincolnshire Show Online, particularly as a number of them have supported the show for many years, it’s great to see old faces as well as new, and we still have a number of exhibitor and sponsor spaces still available.

“As a charity, the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society is heavily focussed on promoting and supporting education, food and farming within the local Lincolnshire community through all of our events, and although this year’s show will be online, our focus will remain the same. We’re proud to continue celebrating the heritage of Lincolnshire and showcase the best the county has to offer in one place, whether that is at the Lincolnshire Showground or online, and we hope you can join us for a fun-filled day.”

The Lincolnshire Showground team is partnering with CityX, Gusto Homes, Cartwright Communications and TRS Design to help bring the Lincolnshire Show Online to life. Sponsors include Woldmarsh Producers Ltd, Branston Ltd, Lincolnshire County Council, Harper Adams University, Thompson & Richardson and Duckworth Motor Group.

The online show will recognise the best of rural Lincolnshire with an eclectic mix of entertainment, food, shopping and agriculture.

The Lincolnshire Show Online will take place virtually on 24 June.
