Organisers of the Lincolnshire Show have teamed up with local businesses to launch a style competition, giving visitors a bigger reason to dress to impress at the annual show held on 18 – 19 June this year.
The competition, 'Show Chic', encourages attendees to dress in their best attire and put themselves forward to win some fabulous prizes. The judges will select one lucky winner who will be crowned the winner of 'Show Chic' and two runners up.
The competition has been supported by local businesses that have kindly donated prizes for the most stylish at the show. Chantal, a clothing gallery and shoe studio in the Bailgate, is offering the lucky winner a £100 voucher to spend in store, Lincoln and Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort are donating a spa experience and boutique Noa Noa is offering two runners up a £25 voucher.
Visitors wishing to participate in the Show Chic competition should make their way to the Forest Pines Stand (stand 12, 6th ave, row D) at 3pm on Wednesday 18 June and will be welcomed with a drinks reception.
Jayne Southall, director of the Lincolnshire Showground and the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, said:
"The Lincolnshire Show has always been a great reason to get dressed up and many of our visitors really make an effort which is fantastic to see over the two days.
I would like to thank Chantal, Lincoln and Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort and Noa Noa for their support in running this competition that has given attendees even more incentive to come along in their finest."
Organised by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, the Lincolnshire Show is one of the largest and most prestigious county shows in the UK and is set to be the biggest and best yet with attractions for all the family including headline act RAF Falcons, ferret shows, equestrian gymnastics, delicious artisan food and children's entertainment.
Celebrating its 130th year, the show will also include a wealth of food stalls displaying local produce, floral decoration and flower shows, a sporting showcase, main ring entertainment, craft tents, animal displays, plenty of fantastic retail opportunities – and lots of live music.
The Lincolnshire Show will take place on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 June 2014, open 8am to 6pm on both days.
