The Lincolnshire Show is coming to town!

16 May 2014,

For the first time in decades, the Lincolnshire Show is coming to town for a special preview day which will give Lincoln residents the chance to experience some of the exciting events on offer at the show in June.

On Saturday 31 May, you are invited to take a trip to City Square to see how the 'Show Comes to Town'.

Meet farm animals from Rand Farm Park, play games with the Lincolnshire Sports team, indulge in Lincolnshire sausage sandwiches from Uncle Henry's and cool off with Willingham Fayre ice cream.

There will be storytelling from Lincoln Inspired, a drama performance – and interactive games. What's more, the amazing Dr D of Science Days will be creating crazy experiments to keep young minds occupied.

Attendees can also enjoy music from local choirs brought together by Lincs FM and dance routines by the Witham Hill Gymnastic Club.

Amelia Highfield, marketing manager at Lincolnshire Showground, said:

"We're going out into the city to show people how the annual event has evolved and just how many exciting events and stalls are going to be on offer.
"The Lincolnshire Show is focused around agriculture – but it has developed into an educational, entertaining and jam-packed day perfect for families, schools and couples.
"Yes, its roots will always remain in farming with machinery and animals at its heart, but now the Show plays host to a vast array of shops, activities and impressive events that all walks of life can enjoy."
